The Thames foreshore has fascinating places. Once upon a time, it was a place where people made a living, by scavanging (the 'mudlarks'). Nowadays, there are archeologists (seen here working near the Tower of London), Thames 21 volunteers picking up litter, or people walking on the river edge (be careful that you know the tides and where the steps are up to the streets).
