The closure is necessary to safeguard the public during tree felling and removal of timber.
The Gloucester County Council Order will come into force on the 25th November 2019 and it is anticipated that the Public Bridleway will close on that day until 30th April 2020.
The Order will close temporarily under Sections 14, 15 and 16 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 (as amended) part of Public Bridleway EHD17 from its junction with Beacon Lane and opposite Ringhill Farm at Ordnance Survey Grid Reference (OSGR) SO 82313/09213 extending in a generally easterly direction for a distance of approximately 1000 metres to its junction with road next to Cliffwell Cottages at SO 83242/09438.
However, the Order can permit the closure of the Bridleway for up to six months from the date of the initial closure. After this date if the closure is still required it will be necessary to apply to the Secretary of State for an extension of time.
