The closure is necessary to safeguard the public whilst ground investigation works take place
The Gloucester County Council Order will come into force on the 14th October 2019 and it is anticipated that the Footpath will close on that day until 29th November 2019.
The Order will close temporarily under Sections 14, 15 and 16 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 (as amended) part of Public Footpath ACO 51 from its junction with ACO 117 at Ordnance Survey Grid Reference (OSGR( SO 93467/16144 extending in a generally westerly direction for a distance of approximately 290 metres to a point 50 metres south of "The Scribs" at OSGR SO 93186/16091. However, the Order can permit the closure of the Bridleway for up to six months from the date of the initial closure. After this date if the closure is still required it will be necessary to apply to the Secretary of State for an extension of time.
