Celebrating the Cotswold Way!

Throughout 2020, we are celebrating the 50th Anniversary of the Cotswold Way.

Working in partnership with Robert Welch, John Lewis, and the Ramblers Association, we’ll be promoting the route as a brilliant way for people to get outside and walking in the countryside. Robert Welch, who are also celebrating 50 golden years of their studio shop at the start of the trail in Chipping Campden, have created a small range of special products to celebrate – which will be available online and in store. John Lewis are hosting both Robert Welch and the Cotswolds Conservation Board from 11th – 16th May in their Cheltenham store, and offering with a number of unique events for people to join in with. The Ramblers and our Cotswold Wardens are offering a number of celebratory walks from May onwards. It’ll be a full schedule of celebrations!

Further details of events and how you can get involved will be available at https://www.cotswoldsaonb.org.uk/ and http://cotswoldwayassociation.org.uk/

Please support the Cotswold Way through the virgin money giving page at www.virginmoneygiving.com/fund/cotswayassoc50 to help improve the Cotswold Way for future generations.

Delayed opportunity to fulfil New Year’s resolutions!!

The sun is coming out – so get walking on your favourite National Trail – or explore a new one!

After all of the recent storms many of the Trails have had problems – and in any case who but the hardiest walker would want to have been outside??  But the weather is improving as we move towards Spring so the Trail officers have been out making sure that routes are passable and safe (or there are appropriate diversions in place).  So please be aware of the fact that you need to make sure you are appropriately dressed and allow time to take account of any temporary diversions. We want you to enjoy these iconic routes and the special places through which they pass – so get those galoshes out and plan your next walk!
